Persist, Persist, Persist if You Want to Grow a Successful Online Business

I have written a variation of this article on at least 6 other occasions but frankly the message still isn’t getting through. Well, not going by some of the messages I receive daily from prospects endeavoring to setup their own internet businesses.

What most don’t realize is that setting up online is no different from starting an offline business. It takes careful planning, you must set a budget and most importantly you need to give yourself a realistic timeframe for success.

Believe it or not, I was working at my own online business for 4-5 years before I was able to leave my offline job. For the first year or two I was barely scraping by. Most of the money I was earning was spent on advertising and new resources to build and maintain my business.

The one thing I did have though in those early years was a determination to succeed. I persisted even when I thought I wasn’t ever going to make a full-time income.

Too many times, people enter this business expecting to see a significant income within a week or two. Overnight successes are definitely not the norm in this business so you shouldn’ expect to be one.
