Mundane Tasks of a Daily Home Business
Yesterday I decided to put my daily task in a notepad because I have been seriously neglecting some of the more mundane task of running an online home business.
It’s not all sweetness and light and daily paychecks you know.
The daily tasks that I need to do include answering email from interested prospects. This can be tough although necessary if I want to succeed. It is amazing how appreciative people are when they get a quick response to an email. For me quick can be anywhere between 2 hrs and two weeks.
Then comes the link management and deleting or approving websites that have requested a linkswap with one of my business websites. I have link directories on quite a few of my sites, some of the run my Linksmanager reciprocal links management service. Mind you, reciprocal linking doesn’t yield the power that it used to.
Next on my list is deleting or approving articles to my article database. This task is getting more difficult by the day as more and more people submit to my site.
I also must try to make a few forum posts at my favourite online forum on a daily basis. I find that my contribution here positively impacts the growth of my own business.
Then there is the checking and updating of websites and blogs, adding new posts whenever possible. The list goes on and on.
These are task that need to be done daily before I even look at how to grow my business further.
The point of putting them in writing means I am more likely to keep on top of them and not let things pile up which happens more repidly as my business grows.
Who’s complaining?:-)
